LOUIS VUITTON
How runway promotions shape search interest
Ahead of select runway shows, Louis Vuitton posted celebrities wearing pieces from the upcoming collection, alongside links to watch the shows live. This study uses Google Trends, Instagram, X, and dated post archives to examine whether these posts were associated with earlier shifts in public interest.
WHAT I USED
- Google Trends
Daily search data, 15 days around each of 3 shows
- Instagram and X
Louis Vuitton's pre-show posts
- Post archives and press
To cross-check when each post went up
- LV show records
Official show dates
WHAT I DID
- 01Turned an observed pattern into a testable research question.
- 02Established a consistent comparison across three runway shows by the same designer.
- 03Developed a measure of how much search interest occurred before each show.
- 04Reviewed daily search trends and refined the conclusions based on the findings.
- 05Presented the research and findings in an 11-slide deck.
